The village is owned by its residents, and has been nearly since its inception. A Board of Managers is elected from and by the homeowners. Voting is based on the pro-rata share of property ownership held by each individual or couple.
The Managers are not only responsive to the villagers, they ARE the villagers. They live, work and play in the same environment as all of their friends and neighbors. Additionally, each of the managers serves in the capacity as "Board Liaison" with various "Commissions".
The Commissions over-see and influence the various activities in the village. Commissioners are also residents and are in daily contact with their fellow Leisure Villagers. Golf, Architectural Control, Social, Pool, Fishing Ponds and many other amenities and facilities each have their own Commission. That Commission recommends to the board any action that it feels should be taken with regard to a particular facility or issue.
The Board has the final say in all matters as they are the elected representatives...The Commissions act as the daily eyes and ears of the community.
