A twenty-four hour locked gate gives great comfort to our Leisure Villagers. Access without your ( or the office's) permission is most difficult. Fox Lake police make regular visits to our village and..... they stop by once a month....just to chat..... and THEY bring the donuts!

Snow-birds, in particular, like the watchfulness of their neighbors. Additionally appreciated is the fact that the full time staffed office has access to their property in case of an emergency. Snow-birds are given a list of suggestions to make their places even more secure while away.
It is estimated that one-quarter or more Leisure Villagers sneak away to warmer climates sometime during the winter. Snow plowing and shoveling is continued, whether the home is occupied or not.....
